Client: Rebekah Shackney, LCSW, a dialectical behavior therapist.

Challenge: Increase the number of participants in Rebekah’s DBT group classes. Parents of troubled teens have a lot of concerns and questions about therapy: will it help? Will I be judged? What the heck is DBT anyway? We wanted to nurture them through a series of emails, so in the end, they would feel that they knew Rebekah and the way she conducts therapy well enough to join the group.

Solution: I started by creating a guide on how to soothe your teen’s meltdown in minutes as a lead magnet. Once they signed up for the guide, they received seven emails that introduced Rebekah, explained DBT, and addressed their concerns.  The goal was for them to feel comfortable enough with Rebekah and how DBT works so that they would sign up for her group classes.
